Tickled Pink #23 d-JCB, Mish'Chief & Freya After a cracker of an Easter Party, it's time for Tickled Pink #23! This month, Danni B will be away gallavanting overseas, but the party must go on and to make sure it does, we have packed in some tasty guests to fill the space. d-JCB has been lurking in Melbourne's underground for over 10 years now, spinning wax at some of the finest venues and events around, as well as putting on his own parties, you might remember a party called "Fukdupp" featuring Berliner's Modeselektor? d-JCB is apart of the "Semi-Retired" crew, and ran large indoor/outdoor events at the warehouse venue Carni over summer... now semi is "fully retired", he's had a chance to mix with more crews, and playing abroad, more recently two gigs in Perth, as well as recent gigs at Revolver, Loop, Glasshouse and F4, playing with crews like Meccanoid, More Bass, Zokk and Soma Corp to name a few. Sporting one of the largest record collections in Australia, covering many genres/tempos/moods, d-JCB has really mastered the art of the 'Forest Gump' chocolate box - you never know what to expect. Mish'Chief & Freya have been busy girls over the last few months establishing their new night, Instinct at La Di Da and they are joining us this month. Relatively new to the scene, Freya played her debut gig at 'Dusk' in London last year, and has since graced the decks in Melbourne at clubs such as Brown Alley, Altitude, The Motel, Ocean Blue and most recently, La Di Da. Her emotionally powered sets comprise twisted, dark yet energetic basslines, haunting melodies and barreling percussive flavors, have Freya taking clubbers on a journey through tech house, deep progressive and unrelenting techno. Mish'Chief has been spinning tunes since 2000. Today, she holds residencies with Instinct, Vanity Fair and Take It Easy. She's a regular line up on Melbourne Promoter parties and outdoor festivals such as Earthcore and Rainbow Serpent. Her trademark style is tough, grinding mechanical combined with a playful, slightly menacing attitude. She's no genre snob and selects from techno, electro, minimal, house, breaks and more to deliver Dynamic sets to get a room moving! These guys are joining TP residents Nadine, Sass & Nugget - we are sure this will make a nice cocktail of music. Friday March 21 @ La Di Da
